Because my entire photographic career speaks to those qualities necessary to producing quality portfolios – diversity, versatility, and flexibility. As you may have read in my about page, I have shot a variety of people, subject matters and objects over a long career. Moreover, in producing great images, I’ve learned to shoot and adapt on the fly, adjusting to a good new idea, a change in budget and even an interesting new mood my client may be exhibiting. Indeed, the University of Minnesota, where I have spent most of my career, is all about change and growth, and one of my chief roles was to capture those changes photographically. So, it was quite easy for me to incorporate this versatility into my own work. That’s not to say your portfolio will be all over the map, structureless and wild! But it will be interesting, and an intriguing portrayal and enhancement of you, as well as a highly useful promotional tool.
