This photograph
of the Mississippi River was made near Palisade, Minnesota.
I’m intrigued by the shapes in the water, which
remind me of a mushroom cloud, as well as by the place
names of the photograph, and how it juxtaposes with
the content of the photograph. A “palisade,”
is a defensive formation in military parlance.
